Leatherworking : 200 (Was working on it to get the Ebon Netherscale set until patch 2.3 happened, then it didn’t seem worth it anymore. I’ll probably go back to a gathering profession.)

Character history:

Korny was the first character i created at release (Nov 2004). I played him for 2 years until i started to want to raid. Back then, there was no room in a raid for any other spec than resto and although i gave it a try, it’s not how i wanted to play my Shaman. Since the last few patches, changes were made to the enhancement tree and made me want to play him again (He was lvl 66 since i never stopped playing completely). For now, his gears are mainly PvP since it was the easiest way to gear him enough to be able to do Kara and start gathering PvE gear. I have already a couple of heroics and badges items as a start for my PvE set.

Yes, many. I like to experience the game from different roles. My main alts are:

Previous Guilds:

I have not been in many guilds (except my own Alts guild). Too often they end up in drama or disband for various reasons.

The Steel Pack: Back in the days before they became TSP. Had friends in the guild and i filled a DPS spot when they needed someone, until they disbanded.

D.P.(dark Panacea): I was with DP for a few months pre-BC. Did ZG and MC but then my girlfriend moved back to town and i couldn’t meet the attendance requirement so i left.

Prophétie: Guild created by Melk and other RL friends. Again did some ZG and MC pre-BC and a few kara post-BC but this was on my mage though(Was working night shift back then so i couldn’t attend as often as i’d liked. They disbanded last year after losing key members to the server transfers. Although i don’t have much experience in raids, i know my class, i know my place in a group and im willing to learn and adapt. (This include reading about strategies of course). I like reading theorycraft about the classes i play: knowledge hopefully will compensate for my lack of experience in certain areas in the game.

With all those alts, do you expect Civilian to gear them all up!?

Of course not, i apply on my shaman and he’s the one i will sign up for raids with, but my mage and priest will be available if needed to fill a spot that my shaman couldn’t.

Why Civilian?

Well, i’ve known about Civilian for a long while but mainly by reputation. It’s only been in the last few months (Since Melk joined) that i started hearing more detailed infos about how you function as a guild and the philosophies behind it all. I like the 18+, no whining, work as a team attitude and especially the fact that it’s not just nice principles, they are applied and followed. In a way, i find you guys to be «professionals» and i’d like the opportunity to be a part of that.

I'm sure the shammies will have many questions for you,  one I have is the gem choices.  What's going on there?  It seems like you are all over the place with them.

What stat would you say is the most influential for Enhance DPS:  AP, Hit, Crit, Agile, Str, Resiliance, or Stam?  (you have a gem or set bonus for all of these)

Also, Homie Rank is reserved for RL friends of a guild member.  If that isn't the case, I would change your app to Bench.  If it is the case, I would explain who you know, how, etc...

Opps, I missed the inpassing reference to Melk.  Any embarrassing pictures?

Yeah, on the Gem choice, i tried to replace PvE stats i was losing by replacing my blue leveling pieces with the PvP set. Consider them gone. I use those gears to do heroics too, so i kinda tried to compensate for the lack of agility (Dodge) and + hit on the PvP gears. I just haven't been upgrading them as i was accumulating more PvP gears. As i get PvE gears, the gladiator set will become heavier in Str, Sta, crit and resilience.

 As for the Homie Rank, sorry i didn't make it more clear in my original post, im RL friend with Melk (undead Priest) we work together.

 Do you have PvE gear?  What was your mage's name in DP?

My Mages name is foutonlfeu, undead, tall blonde dude . You made me think by asking the question though. I might have made a mistake on that one, i think i brought only my shaman to DP (It's been a while), my mage was only in Prophétie...i'll edit my post.

 As for PvE gears, like i said above, i got a few PvE i gathered from heroics and badges but i geared him up in PvP besaude it was the best gear i could get for the time it takes to get them. I continue doing heroics to get more, but without Kara badges runs its takes a long time. I was hoping to start with Kara to get some, then when i got enough, move on to 25 man and such.

As Jeff already stated it we are friend(RL), we work together and we play WoW together for the last three years already. I leveled Melk from 1 to 70 with him.

So I would definitly sponsor him for a Homie spot in the guild and maybe someday as a raider, he is a great player and a really nice guy.

He is the kind of person I easily see fitting in Civilian roster.

Thanks for applying as a homie.  I think It would be best if I speak first with Melk about all these great applications from his friends.  I want to make sure he and I are clear on things.  I can't view armories right now as its down but from the responses of other members they must be in decent order.

As others before me have said great app man

If you looking to try and turn your gear into PvE gear from PvP i would suggest swapping out all the Purple gems in the reds slots for +6str gems if you can only afford green gems atm, all the yellow gems for +3crit +3str gems, and keep the blue gems with +3str +4sta gems, be careful on trying too hard to keep socket bonuses as well for PvE cause in many cases putting a red +str gem in blue or yellow slots and loosing the socket bonuses can outweigh the benefits of the bonus. I would also suggest putting a new meta in the helm such as the +12 agi +3% crit dmg gem.

You will loose hit from these changes but your crit and atp will raise dramatically and as a raiding enhance shaman Hit holds less value to us than other classes do to the fact Stormstrike and WF are hit capped with your spec.

Like Han and Goeb did for me long long ago if you enjoy theorycraft and havent seen this site already I encourage you to look at The Enhancement Shaman Bible lol it has almost every aspect of enhance theorycraft covered and some links to some excelent Simulators. I have yet to find a Spreadsheet for enhancement shamans so if you know of any plz tell me ^_^.

Hehe, its funny that you mention elitists jerks, i was there like 10 min ago checking up a few things. Its indeed a great post. You are also right on the gems, maybe i was trying too hard to keep the socket bonuses. Im currently trying to raise money not to buy gems but to buy recipies (My mage is a 375 JC) but at 300g+ for those recipies, im having a hard time. I didn't invest that much in gems since i was only PvPing for myself. For the meta though, the 18 stam + stun resist's purpose was exclusively for PvP which added to my Orc racial gives me a 20% stun resist (Damn rogues :P). And having only red and yellow slots, i put purple mainly to get the requirement for the Meta.

 Thanks for the advice though, ill be sure to look you up in-game if i ever need something that the bible can't provide :)
