Gem Postmortem
So I recently took the plunge and regemmed my gear for all haste.

New slots choices:
-
Old slot choices:
My spell dmg went down 76 but I gained 74 haste.
This new haste gave me a better Raid ISB uptime from 62.99% (dmg gems) to 63.14% (haste gems) difference of 0.15%
I think this mainly increased my effectiveness in my role as Warlock DPS since my targets for the real challenging fights don't live long (Void Sentinels, Void Spawns, Shield Orbs, Reflections) and I have to move so much in Sunwell. I also contributed to the Raid Shadow DPS by keeping ISB up for a longer duration.
My personal DPS has a difference of 1 DPS (raid buffed with second drummer and elem shaman. Very minor change, but I think it was worth it.
Gear postmortem:
I also made some gear changes since I'm well beyond hit cap. (These calculations are separate to the gem study above)
Gear in question since I have it available to me:
So the question then becomes is a difference of 14 Stamina 22 Int and 52 Haste better than 24 Crit and 40 spell damage
The spreadsheet reported an 8 DPS increase and a Raid ISB uptime difference of .26%
Conclusion
I like haste, your mileage may vary, I like to be able to cast more often and better dps when I can't stand still for long. (Running from meteors, fire blooms, back into shield, away from gravity ball, away from dark fiends, etc.)
