    Hello everyone. My name is Ashur Shihale. I am a 18 year old (19 in a month) male living in Gilbert, Arizona. I dropped out of school about a year ago and started an electronic retailing business online. I play World of Warcraft about 40+ hours a week. I have so much time to dedicate to the game because my business does not require a lot of time. I also choose to not buy a car at the moment so I spend most my time at home. Maybe this will change in the future, but for right now I do not plan on changing anything as I enjoy my lifestyle.

    A little about my past experiences in WoW would show you that I have been playing since before AQ40 opened on Bonechewer. I started off as an alliance Warrior named Krayziee and I raided with a few guilds and ended up in United Strength as a dps/offtank. Before the expansion was released I chose to leave the game for a while. When I came back I chose to level a mage on skywall to play with a few real life friends. After those friends quit I decided to come back to Bonechewer as horde and leveled a mage also with the name Krayziee in hopes of having a few people recognize me. After getting frustrated with mana inefficiency and getting dominated by warlocks I decided to finally reroll to warlock. I do not want to play any other class anymore.

  When I played my warrior I was only interested in the PvE aspect of the game. I knew all the statistics and efficiency facts about my class that I needed to know and left it at that. When I made the mage Asphyxiation taught me how to be a good PvPer in general. I also carried this onto my Warlock and learned what I could from the players around me. Unfortunately, a lot of the good PvP players are currently in higher rated arena teams and I have not found someone to constantly play games with me enough for me to be content playing as much as I do. So I have decided to apply to Civilian to potentially become a part of the team.

I am not your average player. I do not care about gear, gold, or my time. I try to give a lot more than I take from people it is just in my nature to do so. When I spoke to Kold one day wondering what it took to be a part of a high end guild like that he told me "I look for the individuals that are willing to do everything in their power to perfect everything about them." So I took this advice and I do everything I can to get the best enchants etc. to optimize my character as a whole. I also believe this is what all high end guilds require of their members.

All I am asking for is a chance to prove myself and I will do everything I can to continuously be a contributor to the guild rather than a leech. I will farm for potions for every pull even if I suspect it to be a wipe on my own time, I will pay for repairs myself and never complain, I will learn strategies for bosses on my own time, and I will try to make 100% raid attendance and not leave raids early.

My experiences in outland are limited. I have cleared Karazhan, Gruul's Lair, Serpentshrine to Morogrim, and The Eye to Solarian.

spoken with applicant and have stated his obvious lack of gear however  urge this applicant as well as the rest of you jokers  to get to know him.

applicant has stated his plans to persue a pve gear set as well as signed up on all casual runs with promise to be there.

 You've told me a little bit about yourself in rl and in game.  The main thing I see missing is your history in more detail.  You stated what raiding experience you have, but it's not clear on which toon, with which guild, why you are no longer with that/those guilds, why you left guilds to be with US, why you left US to go play with friends, etc.  I want to know what makes you tick and what makes you change guilds and how you choose which community you are a part of.

Normally I just grammar n’ spell nazi applicants.  You sir, have thwarted me.  GRATZ!  This is a great application, thank you for the good read.  I would love to tank you through a heroic if you need something or feel like showing off.  Shoot me a tell.  /who mina is your best option.

He has the right attitude, but I found his application lacking, a lot.  Besides what Fettle pointed out, what spec does he think would be the best PVE spec for him and why?  All I see is PVP gear, if someone was apping, I would think logging out in your PVE gear would be appropriate for several days. What gear is he currently working on getting and how?  He's currently in The Warpigs, so what's the situation there?

I'll also be a little contrary.  Ally warrior, Horde mage on another server, now Horde warlock - the jumping around is a little concerning.  I know you say you don't want to play anything else but if the warlock gets nerfed or "balanced" will you stick with it?  And maybe I misunderstand your emphasis but I see an armory link to 100% PVP gear and a 3rd paragraph that I'll paraphrase as - I'm having trouble finding consistent arena partners so I'd like to join Civlian.  Yes, we all pvp to a greater or lesser extent but this is primarily a pve raiding guild.

 Fettle: I'm assuming that's Arorah. If so, Hello! Anyways, first off, all pre-expansion content was accomplished on my Alliance Night Elf Warrior. Everything up to Blackwing Lair was with 'The Droogies'. I left them because I was in search of a more serious guild. I then joined EYEDEA for about 2 weeks simply to help my cousin (Lithlum) have more incentive to keep raiding. I then spoke with Hotdog about joining United Strength. I stayed with them until I chose to leave the server and my warrior. I made this decision because at the time I was really frustrated with the direction the warrior class was going. So I rerolled an alliance mage on Skywall after about 4 months of taking a break. A couple days after hitting 70 on the mag my real life friends decided they were done with the game (once again) so Asphyxiation convinced me to come back to Bonechewer as horde. I then leveled my current mage (Krayziee 70 Undead Mage) and tried my best to catch up to all the other PvP players. Around the end of season 2 Asphyxiation decided to quit the game temporarily. I mostly only had fun on my mage because of him so I chose to reroll once again. Now I have my warlock (Relowe 70 Undead Warlock) and it fits my playstyle exceptionally to the point of me knowing I will never reroll again (not even an alt). Obviously I was in the Warpigs because of Asphyxiation as a Social. Karazhan was done on my mage (just recently took the time to get attuned for it on my warlock) and the rest were done on my warlock with the Warpigs. I left Warpigs when they merged with Lucidity. I am now in BLACKZILLAdotNET a PvP guildfor obvious reasons.

 I admit in the past I have not been very content with my choice of class, but that has all changed now. As far as what makes me tick...Newports. :)

Minathia: Haha that's great to hear. I thought I missed a few things, but I was too tired to reread it a few times like I normally do. As far as tanking heroics that is GREAT to hear and I appreciate it ahead of time.

Zathrus: I do a lot of research with the game. Currently I am using maxdps.com to decide specs. Since my gear is subpar at the moment I plan on using 43/0/18 (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IEMRbRftVt0oZxx0tM) until that changes. Eventually when my gear looks better I plan on using 0/21/40 unless there are no other affliction warlocks. I would be happy to tweak the affliction build to add malediction and be a support warlock. I am currently working on getting every piece of decent PvE gear possible. I am working on Cenarian repuation at the moment for Ashyen's gift, Spirit Shards for Seal of the Exorcist, Sethekk Halls for Sethekk Oracle Cloak (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=27981), and Mana-Tombs for Glyph-Lined Sash (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=27843). The only other PvE gear I have is my season 1 PvP gear socketed specially to suit PvE and the Terokkar Tablet of Vim. As far as Warpigs goes, I never joined them as a raider and I already left them a week or so ago when they merged with Lucidity. I left in good standing with all my past guilds.

Moller: I agree I have been jumpy about picking classes, realms, and even factions. I can only urge you to believe me when I say I am done rerolling. In the past I was never really content with class playstyles. Also I was in the habit of trying new characters to learn what goes through the minds of the other classes to aid me in my PvP aspects. I now feel like Warlock is the last thing I will have to roll to. Even with possible nerfs in the future I am going to stick this one out and just bite my tongue when the competetive nature of myself kicks in. As far as my joining Civilian for PvP partners I do not wish that to be so. I have arena partners and plans for arena teams already and do not need help in that aspect. I am applying to Civilian to become a raider. Although I do see where you got that idea. My third paragraph was not properly written and I apologize for the confusion. 

I am a very dedicated player that has a very logical way of thinking. I try to give more than I take and do my best to be considered a friend to the people around me.

Thanks for the reply, Relowe.  I understand most of your history preTBC and going to the warlock class.  But I'm still confused on where you picked up the raiding experience you listed.  Please be more specific on how much raiding experience you have in the last 6 months.

One other thing I would like to ask you to do is read both links from our home page that are on the right side.  One is titled "About Us" the other is titled "Recruitment".  This is an outline of who the leadership in Civilian is and how we run our guild along with what we expect out of applications and applicants and will give you an idea of what to expect for our application process.  I know you haven't read over this because you weren't clear on who I was.

Fettle: Sorry for the mixup. My raiding experience in the last 6 months is very limited. The instances I mentioned above have not been cleared by myself more than a few times. Also, I apologize if I was supposed to read the pages you mentioned and will go do that now.

So imo. you should of man-up'd and ask to raid: not just leave the guild.
