    Character's name : Toogoodtu
    Class : Undead Holy Priest
    Profession : Enchanting 423  Alchemy 375
    Time played : 108days 10hours 39mins
    Time played level 80 : 22hours 36mins
    Alts
    : Tuleet - Paladin 70

    Armory : http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Bonechewer&n=Toogoodtu

Spec : 14/57/0 After the new talents came out, it did not effect me at all. My class is just
as good as any other healing classes. I am trying out this build and it seems to be very effective
in heriocs. I prefer Guardian Spirit rather then IMP ds build because it saved many lives in
these tough heriocs we are all just learning about.

    Profile :
    Name - Nelson
    Age - 20
    BOD - November 27 1987
    Location - San Francisco, CA

    Computer/Internet Spec :
    Dell Intel Core 2 duo 2GB e-Geforce 8600GT 512MB DDR3
    SBC DSL Internet

    WOW History :
I started playing World of Warcraft about 2 years ago. A friend recommend me playing this game
because I was a mmorpg fan. I made a Priest because his pvp guild Rolfcers of the Lawl was
lacking healers. This was pre BC, so I leveled to 60 as a Shadow Priest and pvp'd a little
with the guild. I was not very interested in pvping and I did not know much about pre BC
raids. After a month or so, BC came out and I started to level again. I leveled as a Holy
Priest so it was quite challenging but I managed to get to 70. Not too long after I got to
70 I joined Escaper, the main tank back then was my real life friend's brother. He recommended
me to join and try out the BC raids with them. When we first downed Gruuls I was beginning
to like WOW more and more. I got to experience raids and got to see the other side of WOW
(since I was a pvper). After downing Gruuls, I was having some in real life problems and didn't
have much time to play WOW. That made me quit WOW but I never thought of selling my account
ever. I recently came back to WOW early this year and is determined more than ever to raid.

    Guild History :
Roflcers of the Lawl - My real life friend's pvp guild. I left because he quitted WOW.
Escaper - Joined in recommendation of Anabu, one of their main tanks early TBC. I left because
    I quitted WOW.
Team Purple - My first raiding guild after I started playing WOW again. Raid SSC a few times
and left because the Officers were not organized.
Genocide - Joined because I wanted to experience more raids. I stayed in this guild for quite
a few months and became class leader and officer. Our progression was quite good and I had no
problems with any of the guild members. As Wrath of the Lich came closer around the corner,
our loot policy became unfair to everyone and that problem was not being solved. I did not
want this to happen when Wrath of the Lich came out. I tried to have a voice in it but it was
not being heard, so I left the guild.

    Raid History :
    Pre BC - No experience
    Gruul's lair - Cleared
    Magtheridon's lair - Cleared
    Karazhan - Cleared
    Zul'Aman - Cleared 4th timer Pre 3.0
    Serpentshrine Cavern - Cleared
Tempest Keep The Eye - Cleared
Hyjal Summit - Did 4/5 with Genocide and last boss with Cry Havoc.
Black Temple - Downed first boss before 3.0 patch. Full cleared after 3.0 patch.
    Sunwell - Never tried.

    Why Holy Priest? :
I started out with a Priest because my real life friend's guild was lacking healers. I had no
problem rolling a healer, though in other games I usually pick melee. I got hooked on my priest
leveling as shadow. Never would of thought that a priest in this game could do some actual dps.
Although I leveled as shadow spec, I found out that healing in dungeons and raids are much more
intense. Keeping up party members and myself alive as a squishy class, what more of a challenge
can I ask for in this awesome game. That being said I will never re roll another healing class,
being a Priest is who I am and what I love playing.

    Why Enchanting/Alchemy? :
I started out as enchanting/tailoring because it was the best combo for a cloth wearer. I loved
how I could just enchant my own items and the fact that I could enchant my rings. Disenchanting
was a plus, I could disenchant useless items I did not need anymore. I switched Tailoring to
Alchemy ever since I started raiding with Genocide. I was lacking mana regen and went out of
mana quite a few times when I was doing Mount Hyjal. I saw the alchemy trinket and how it increases
the effect on a mana potion by 40%. I spammed a lot of mana potions every raid so I thought that
trinket would be perfect for getting a little extra mana. Knowing how we can only use one mana
potion per encounter, I would still use the new alchemy trinket because it now has spell power
and haste stats. My enchanting/alchemy is in the process of being leveled right now, it won't too
long before I can get my new enchants and alchemy trinket.

    Why Civilian? :
Reaching to level 80 in 5 days after buying the game, I was hoping to run some herioc dungeons
and meeting new people who are dedicated in this game as much as I am. I found myself running
with a few Civilian members and they were all great players. I know that Civilian is one of the
best progressing guilds out there. I want to be apart of a determined, face paced guild who is also
fair and kind to others. I love to raid and is dying to experience raid again. I'm always free
so if I would to be benched, I do not mind waiting until I get to prove myself and what I am
    capable of in-game.

Why Civilian should want me. :
I'm experienced in raids, I gave out healing assignments in my previous guild and it was very
sucessful. I have one of the quickest reflex ever. The only hotkeys I use is 1-7, my clicking
as fast as me banging on my keyboard. I'm always up and on to help others in need. I don't
judge people of who they are and I do not cause drama. I just want to be apart of a group of
people who wants to enjoy this game as much as I do.

I'm looking for a home I can go to, where I belong. Please feel free to make any comments or
ask any questions, I'm all ears.

Welcome to the forums Toogoodtu.  Some general questions.  What roll do you want to play at 80?  Civ likes flexiblilty (as I am reminded of often Stick out tongue).  This will play an even greater roll when dual specs go live.  Can you be relied upon to heal one night, and rock dps meters the next?

Hello and welcome to our application process.

Tell me more about the loot drama you mentioned? What caused it? Why do you feel the policy was unfair?

Why did you "quitted" WoW? What made you decide to come back? What about the game makes you want to stay now, that is different from before?

Will you accept an invite if your girlfriend is not accepted?

    Thank you.

Civilian has a lot of good players applying; especially lately.  Good skills, good gear, good experience.  What makes you stand out from the other applicants?

Which healing assignments do you find you enjoy most; raid wide healing or tank healing?  Why?

    About Me :
My name is Nelson and I'm turning 21 next thursday. I live with my older brother and my
girlfriend in San Francisco. I raise fighting fishes for fun. I do not know what the
fishes names are, but one of them is a big orange fish with a big bump on his forehead.
That one is vicious, he has his own fish tank. I also have 2 small turtles they bite but
it don't hurt as much. Raising them is not a hobby but just an interest. Playing WOW
is my hobby, I barely do anything else other than watch animes and tv.

Holy spec is my main spec. I've been discipline a few times and I'm familiar with playing
it. In my old guilds we always tend to lack healers and I could never respec as shadow.
Even though I never respecced as shadow, I still have some experience from leveling 1-60.

I felt that my previous guild was losing focus on how we use to handle loot. We usually
give it to the people who show up more and is doing great in the raid. As new members
joined and with wrath around the corner, the loots were going out of control. Some items
went to new members and some went to people who did not show as much. I had quite a few
complaints since I was officer. I felt the same way and tried to work it out. I absolutey
did not want us to be this unorganized when we do start raiding in wrath. I've talked
about this issue several weeks, and it was still not improving. I had no choice but to
leave after the last straw was drawn when we downed Illidan for the last time.

I quitted WOW back then because I had to finish school and time was just crazy for me.
I recently came back this year because a few of my real life friends started to play
WOW. They were new so I wanted to help them out with the level 70 Priest I had already.
As I came back I learned about Herioc Badges and saw how good the items were. That got
me determined to get some good gear and try out some of the new raids. Doing herioc runs
I met a few online friends who said I should app for some raiding guilds. I got in one
and ran SSC. It was so intense and fun, it got me addicted and was eager to raid more.

If my girlfriend did not get an invite and I did, I would no doubt accept the invitation.
We have talked about this issue and we are fine with us being in different guilds. We
just love to raid and have no jealousy over the other.

What makes me stand out from other people is that I give 100% into the guild. I'm always
free to raid and is always helping others in the guild off nights. I like to be fair and
do not cheat others. I gain my own respect and trust from others by showing them how
devoted I am when I'm in a guild.

My favorite healing assignment is raid wide healing. When I top everyone off, I could
toss a hot or a big heal on the main tank. This sounds tough and mana draining but I
usually watch my mana pool and pop my Inner Focus early in the fights. Once I reach
about 60% mana I pop Hymn of Hope if I could get the chance. If not, I'll just keep
healing until I get the chance. I would also use my shadow fiend around 50% mana depending
on which boss fight it is.

I chose to apply for CryHavoc because a good friend of mine told me to apply. I did
not get accepted but was not in a worry. I got to level 80 and wanted to raid again. I
met a few people from Civilian doing heriocs and Judgmant the tank told me to apply.

I understand how you feel about the loot system with your last guild. Loot in this guild is decided by the officers. As our officers are well established and there hasn't been any turnover do you foresee having any issues as you were an officer in another guild?  Is that something that you can handle?  As it seems one of the reasons you left your last guild was because of loot issues.  I have seen people who were in need/wanted loot get passed over because the officers felt that the loot was needed elsewhere for the overall good of the raid. Can you live with not getting any loot for a period of time for the overall good of the guild/raid?

I am going to play devil's advocate here but what did it matter with WotLK being so close that loot was being given to newer members?  Were those newer members to help the progression team and needed the gear to allow for forward movement or possibly to help them lvl so that you guys could raid in wotlk sooner?

Having read your answer to Vineya's question about loot drama your response just seems to barely touch on the issue of drama she asked about.

Did you leave on good terms or go out in a blazing ball of glory?  You mention a "last straw" with an Illidan kill, was it a glavie issue?  What happened? Just want more information as you have called that last kill "the last straw".

You also mentioned school in your app as a reason you left WoW. Are you able to make the dedication to raids to be there on time and ready? What are you plans for school or work? Are there any RL issuses or responsibilities that might cause issues in game?

Lastly how is your overall communication? Are you a person that can post on forums or make sure to talk to officers so that they stay informed should something come up?

As of right now I am not a raider but these are some questions that I thought up while looking at your app. Hopefully I dont seem like a crazy person.

I don't know Toogoodtu too well but I can say that he is a great priest from what I've seen. We run heroics quite a bit and I've never had a time where I've died to lack of healz (even when I go crazy and pull 2 or 3 packs of mobs). Great healer seems like a good guy from talking with him in vent during runs. He's definately someone I could see being new to a fight but picking up on it quickly and not having any problems with his role.

My old guild's loot system was decided by officers too. We decide based on their
attendance and how well they do on trash/boss fights. The problem I saw was the people
who do meet the expectations did not get loot for a long time. I feel that them helping
longer than the new people should at least get some rewards. I never had any issue
with not getting any loot. I was more into helping all the good raiders that were focus
and does good get some loot. If I were to not get loot for a long period of time, I'm
okay with that. I rather get to experience raiding than care about loot.

Even though wrath was being so close and loot wasn't going to matter anymore, guilds
have rules. I felt that my previous guild did not abide by our loot rule. Yes, giving it
to new members might have further our progression, but a lot of old members would of
felt cheated. The members know the rules and if we were to give free loot to newer
members, that just shows how established we are. This being the issue, some officers
and I saw the problem and tried to solve it. The last week of BUrning Crusade came and
we had one more attempt to clear BT. There were a few loots before we came across Illidan
and those loots were just being passed to anyone. It was a shocker, a dps back went to
a Healer who was also an officer and there were a lot of complaints. The mage officer
even said it should be going to a dps not a healer. It seems with the new spell power
people tend to get confused. Then we came across Illidan and downed him and a glaive did
not drop. What happened was one of the loots was a mage, druid, rogue t6 chest and the other
officers decided it should go to the druid officer. He did not show as much and was kind
enough to let everyone free roll on it. So I made a comment why not let the people who
deserve it more roll rather than having the newer members roll against the older members.
No one listened, so I felt that I did not have a voice in the decision making of the
officers. On top of that one of the officers made a comment about Babyhugz (my gf) which
he made a few other times in the past. I will not name names or go into details of what
he said in here but if you would like to know message me in game. That comment just pushed
my button and was an insult to Babyhugz who was sitting right next to me. So that was the
"last straw" I was talking about. I might have left without telling anyone, but afterwards
I cooled down and talked with the guild leader. I informed him why I left and what was on
my mind. He understand and told me they were going to work on the issue. He offered me
to come back to the guild but I told him I don't see myself joining back again. I do not
have bad blood with any of the guild members, I'm still good friends with most of them.

I finished school already and is currently unemployed. I have some deep family problems
but does not affect my play time. Maybe if I were to have a job interview or visit my
brother in Nevada, I would consult with the officers before hand. Other than that, I usually
work my real life stuff before my raid times. I had perfect attendance in my previous
guild and they raid 6-9ST Mon, Wed, Thurs 5-9ST on Sundays.

If something were to come up, I will always inform the officers or guild leader. I'm always
on vent but I'm some what active on forums. If my internet was down and I had no way of
reaching anyone, I can call anyone who is willing to give me their number so I can inform
    them of whats going on.

I hope you understand what I am trying to say, if I left anything out please let me know.

    Toogoodtu,

Concerning your decision to gquit your previous guild, please answer the following questions:

    1. Did you leave abruptly, in mid raid.

    2. What discussions were had with other officers prior to the problems you describe prior to the night you left that might have resolved the situation.

    3. Did Babyhugz leave at the same time that you did (or within a few minutes).

    Thank you
